I was hired to develop a new concept for the Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) department's web presence in the spring of 2007. The College of Engineering (COE) was also looking for a new web presence and liked the initial direction for the HCDE department.
I was subsequently hired by COE to (1) build a working prototype of the site in grey scale; (2) help identify the major audiences (3) lead focus groups and create surveys for those audiences to determine the most important web functions for each and (4) do usability on the prototypes with at least one audience.
This is the first page of the original wireframe (in the final design the navigation was moved to the top).
See the CoE wireframe prototype.
(Will open in new window).

I also created the new identity and brochure for the department of Human Centered Design & Engineering when they changed their name from the department of Technical Communication. This is the brochure front (quad fold) with the logos on the right hand side.
